Since 1990 we used to spend a couple of weeks or more collecting insects in the forests of the North-west of Russia (mostly). We live in tents, sleep in sleeping bags, and cook simple food on the open fire.
On this page you can find a short description a catalogue of the field trips, including information on the routes, crew, and results of the past expeditions.
Time and place:
The total duration of the trip: from July 18 through August 29 1999. The crew has been subdivided into two teams. The first team worked from 18 through 31 July in the neighbourghood of the lake Osyno, the second, from July 31 through August 29 near the Krasikovo village.

Projects
During the trip we collected materials on the local insect fauna. The first results are presented in a series of papers. A paper on Orthoptera by Peter Saveliev, and a special issue of a local periodical "Priroda Pskovskogo Kraia [Nature of Pskov Lands]" (1999, No 6) entirely devoted to insects.
